We arrived in London today after spending the first week of our trip in Scotland and NE England. We landed in Glasgow, and spent the next day checking out the cathedral and the necropolis. We went into the oldest house in the city - from the 1600's - and were amazed at how small eveyone was. The doors only came to our shoulders!
The nest day, we headed off to Eninburgh - which was completely different! The medieval castle in the centre of the city was stunning. Lots to see and do there as there is so much history in place that old and significant in history.
We took a bus to the highlands for the day. The wilderness there is very different than westrn Canada, but so secluded and haunting. We even saw a ski hill - Scotland's largest! It was actually quite a tall mountain, but there wasn't too much terrain!
We travelled to Newcastle yesterday and got lost trying to find our hostel. After our 2-hour stroll, we discovered that there really wasn't much to see in Newcastle, so here we are in London today! We just went to the British Museum, which has amazing artifacts from Egypt,Rome, Greece and Asia.
Tomorrow, we are going to hop on a Red Bus and do a tour of London, and hopefully vvisit the Natural History Museum and maybe also a bit of shopping!
We are having a hard time figuring out how to post photos on these public computers, so we'll have to keep you in suspense for now!

Nice to know that I made such an impression that I warranted a mention.
Oh wait.
I didn't.
Och, I'm just kidding. And I told you about Newcastle.
Enjoy, you lucky so-and-sos.
